Europe supports Palestinian statehood

Prophecy Sign: The dividing of the land of Israel by a quartet of political powers.
The quartet as they are called, (America, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations), continue to push for some form of negotiated peace between the Palestinians and Israel. This peace agreement would necessitate the further division of the homeland of the Jewish people, and will bring about the judgement of God on the nations for forcing Israel to acquiesce to this division of the land. Then I looked up--and there before me were four horns! I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these?" He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem." Zechariah 1:18-19 NIV

“In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. Joel 3:1-2 NIVFrom the articles:
The right of Palestinians to advance in the international community as an independent state is "unquestionable," the European Parliament declared. The U.N. Security Council announced Wednesday that it referred an application for full membership submitted by Palestinian authorities to a U.N. committee tasked with vetting new members. The submission was part of a unilateral statehood initiative launched by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The European Parliament, in a resolution passed Thursday, said lawmakers viewed the Palestinian bid for statehood as legitimate. ______________________________________
Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki said Thursday that the Palestinians have received approval from eight members of the UN Security Council in support of their bid for full membership to the United Nations. If nine members of the Security Council vote in favor of the Palestinian state bid, the the resolution will pass, unless one of the council's five permanent members uses a veto. While the US, one of those five, has said before that it would veto the Palestinian resolution, it has also stated that it would rather not be forced to use the veto. ______________________________________
US secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday called on the world to "pressure" both Israel and the Palestinians in order to bring about the resumption of peace negotiations, AFP reported. Speaking at a joint press conference with her Egyptian counterpart, Mohamed Kamel Amr, Clinton said that "Egypt, the United States, the Quartet, everyone must be prepared to put pressure on both parties to try to move towards an agreement on outstanding issues."Europe supports Palestinian statehood
