Bob White claimed to have been a witness to a UFO sighting in 1985. What is even more incredible is that the UFO saw him as well and shot something to the ground. He picked it up and believes that he found a fragment from this UFO.
White said when he saw the mystery object in the sky he had a feeling what he was witnessing was “not of this world”. He spotted the UFO in Grand Junction Colorado late at night while driving with a friend. In typical fashion, he saw a huge light up ahead. When his girlfriend turned on the car’s headlights on it, the UFO shot up quickly into the air and appeared to merge with two other lights and then shot out of sight. He said just before it disappeared, there was a small flash of light. He followed the flash and found the object in a groove in the ground.
White gave the object to Dr. Robert Givens, a former NASA physicist, Northrop Grumman and Hughes Aircraft. In all of his private and 20 years military experience, he told the History Channel he has never seen anything like Bob White’s object. In 2000 he joined White’s team to help determine what the object actually is.
Dr. Givens explained that while in a Laughlin Nevada hotel room the object was affecting the batteries in the hotel’s wall safe. Givens believes there was some sort of radiation that was causing the batteries in the safe to go dead.
Givens set up a test to determine the levels of radiation coming from the mystery object using dental x-ray film. From the x-ray experiment, the object exposed the film with two distinct spots that match up with the two lobes on the object. It is still undetermined what caused this effect.
White did attempt to have the UFO fragment scientifically examined at New Mexico Tech, however, the university did not have the necessary equipment to perform an isotope ratio abundance test. This test measures the amount of isotopes in a given element. If the item is of extraterrestrial origin, its ratios would likely differ from elements naturally occurring on Earth.
Dr. Givens contacted a Los Alamos top metallurgist to examine the unidentified fragment and was told the object is definitely extraterrestrial. However, after having it tested, when he contacted Los Alamos to discuss results, they claimed isotope tests were never performed.
The History Channel was able to locate two scientists that would analyze the object. Chris Ellis is a physicist focusing on aluminum alloys and semiconductors. He determined that the fragment is an aluminum alloy of unknown origin.

While driving from Denver to Las Vegas, Bob White and a traveling companion stopped to look at a strange, bright light. Suddenly, it shot straight up, exploded, and fired a mysterious object into the ground. The object that Bob retrieved was not of this world. From polygrams, to electron microscopy, to metallurgical analysis, here is hard evidence of extraterrestrial activity.
